Statewide Business Pitch Competition
The Mississippi Entrepreneurship Forum will present the Statewide Business Pitch Competition on Thursday, April 2nd at the Vicksburg Convention Center in Vicksburg, MS. The competition will take place on the first day of the Mississippi Entrepreneurship Forum.
Don’t miss this opportunity to have your start-up company’s business pitch heard and critiqued by some of Mississippi’s top entrepreneurs and investors.
Who can participate?
The Statewide Business Pitch Competition is open to all students who attend a Mississippi college, university or community college (must be enrolled during the current academic year). Institution may be public or private. Companies can be start-ups or existing companies.
Limited spots are available. Participants will be screened for the competition based on their Application submitted via Survey Monkey. Judging at the April 2nd event will be based on the team’s live Pitch deck presentation. The same criteria will be used to judge teams in each division.
Judges for the competition will include angel investors and select entrepreneurs.
How to enter:
To apply to enter the competition, complete an application by answering our online questionnaire. Selected applicants will be invited to participate in the competition where they will make an 8-10 minute live Pitch Deck presentation with 2-4 minutes of Q&A. The length of the presentations may be adjusted depending on the number of applicants. The deadline for applications is March 6, 2020.
Applicants will be notified by March 13th if they have been selected to present to the judges.
Cash prizes will be awarded and trophies will be awarded for first, second and third place in each category.
